German Guest from University of Bayreuth visits SKLLE

At the invitation of State Key Laboratory of Lithopheric Evolution, Pro. El Goresy  from University of Bayreuth in Germany visited SKLLE from April 8 to 11, 2007, and gave an academic report.

Pro. El Goresy, a famous mineralogist, has made great contributions to the found and research fields of high-pressure minerals. In recent years, he and collaborators has found the new high-pressure phase including quartz, feldspar, phosphate, and gave the new view in olivine - ringwoodite high-pressure phase transition mechanism. These discoveries and research findings will help us understand the deep earth composition. Pro. El Goresy gave an academic report entitled 猫聤聮猫聛聶猫聛鹿Shock-induced high pressure mineral inventory of shock-melt veins in chondritic meteorites as deduced from petrographic, SEM, Raman and Synchrotron mapping and high-resolution TEM猫聤聮猫聛聶猫聛潞on the morning of April,9.
